FamilyCare Medical Group is a multi-physician practice consisting of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Gynecology physicians. We have 20 locations in and around the Syracuse area.

We are very excited to be able to offer a variety of services such as Diabetes Education, Allergy Evaluation and Testing, Dexascans, Holter Monitoring, Echocardiograms, Stress Testing and several other studies to you. These services are available in most offices, to make your care and treatment more convenient and accessible.

Allergy Program

FamilyCare Medical Group offers an allergy program for all patients suffering from year-round or seasonal allergies. Patients with chronic sinusitis or asthma also benefit from allergy testing. We have a Nurse Practitioner on staff, who works under the guidance of a physician who specializes in allergies.

The allergy program has helped many patients live more comfortably with their allergies and improve their asthma as well.

Dexascan

FamilyCare Medical Group offers dexascanning, which is a test to diagnose osteoporosis. This is an illness that makes people more prone to breaking bones. It is common in post-menopausal women and in some other medical conditions.

A bone density measurement is similar to an x-ray and takes form 5 to 20 minutes. It is simple, safe, painless, and non-invasive. This measurement helps your physician to determine if you need to take certain steps to protect you bone health.

Diabetes Education

FamilyCare Medical Group offers diabetes education to our patients. With our Registered Dietitian and Diabetic Educators, we offer patients the tools and education to better understand and cope with their illness.

Nerve Conduction Studies

Nerve Conduction studies, which assist in the diagnosis of carpal tunnel and other nervous system disorders are another service offered by FamilyCare Medical Group. These are performed by a board certified electro physiologist, and are offered at two of our locations.

Echocardiograms

An Echocardiogram is a test used in the diagnosis of heart problems such as heart murmurs or heart palpitations. A sonogram or picture of your heart is taken and reads by a cardiologist. This service is available at many of our offices.

Holter Monitors

A Holter Monitor is a continuous 24-hour EKG recording of your heart's rhythm, used to evaluate the type and amount of irregular heart beats during regular activities, exercise and sleep. This service is available in all of our offices.

Stress Testing

A Stress test shows if your heart receives enough blood from its own arteries to work harder, safely. This test combines treadmill test with dye enhanced pictures of your heart. This service is available at Medical Center West in Camillus, New York.

Clinical Laboratory

FamilyCare Medical Group has its own NYS certified laboratory. By having our own lab, we can assure that your specimens are processed properly and have your results in a more timely fashion.
